
Leadership Training Dates: New Leaders or Helpers,ask about the next training classes. Many Training classes are done at roundtable meeting, Leadership Meeting and more. It is a very important part of the leadership training continuum of BSA National and local councils .
Membership Round-Ups: Do you have Eagles aging out? How about some Webelos who have crossed over recently? Are Scouts not showing up to program? If you answered YES to any of these questions then you need to recruit new boys into your program. The fall tends to be the best time register new scouts. It is encouraged to start recruiting as early as possible. In some circles they will tell you to recruit all year round. However the bottom line is your program cannot afford to wait for boys to walk through your door. There are just too many opportunities for them to use their time in someone else's program. In 2011 the Centennial Quality Award has being retired. We now are all taking part in the "Journey to Excellence" Program. Now our Scouting Units will be working toward 3 levels of quality programming. So is your Unit a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Level unit. Stay tuned as we are rolling this information out to everyone.
