Planning for the Katahdin Area Council Campership program is now under way. This program helps eastern and northern Maine children with limited financial resources to participate in a summer camp experience. Without the financial support of the campership, these children would not be able to enjoy this type of activity. A summer camp experiance is vital to Scouting's mission of building character in young people. Since many of the families we serve have limited resources, summer camp can be out of the reach for many parents.

The campership program depends entirely on the generosity of donors from our communities.

This year, more than ever, we need your help! Our goal is to raise our funds by June 1. This will allow us to send as many children to camp as possible. We do realize we are on hard economic times but some are worse off then others.
